According to a report by British channel Sky News, China is utilizing “black sites” in the UAE to entrap and arrest Uyghurs residing overseas. According to the study, Uyghurs living abroad “just vanished” after being detained in third countries by Chinese police and security officials, with Dubai in particular becoming a center for Chinese operatives to lure and detain Uyghurs. The report revealed details of several cases where Uyghurs were incarcerated at Dubai airport by Chinese agents.
