A suspected technology espionage operative for China was apprehended by FBI agents in California this week, accused of pilfering approximately 3,600 files from a defense contractor, containing sensitive data on sophisticated sensors utilized in detecting missile launches.

Gong Chenguang, aged 57 and residing in San Jose, faces charges from federal prosecutors in Los Angeles for his involvement in China’s “talents” program.
