A judge in Australia has accused UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of interfering in a case involving Chinese dissidents.
After being removed from the case of a whistleblower who accused the UN of sending information to Beijing about Chinese dissidents, Australian judge Rowan Downing, QC, has accused the UN of a “assault on the independence of the court” and a coup d’etat.
Emma Reilly, a UN human rights officer turned whistleblower, accused her employer of handing Beijing the names of Uighur and other Chinese dissidents set to speak at the UN Human Rights Council.
We will keep you informed and continue to report on this case.
